Default So, is there a Medialine initiation????

Or will I just hang on to Junior Member status until I get my post count up? I'm posting a photo from my most recent shoot. Matt might be happy to know that this young lady has no tattoos

She looks like a 20 year old hard drinker. Notice she has no lines under her eyes, but big bags. That's a hard drinker red flag in someone so young.

I see no big bags. I see a healthy-looking, attractive young woman. And then the bitter old lunatic who thinks the girl is a hard drinker.

By the way, older TV dudes have such a weird reaction to female photographers because they're from an era when your photog had to be a body double for Seth Rogan because 3/4" cameras were flippin' heavy.

I worked with a smallish female photographer. Great at her job, weight of the gear (she started in the ere of 3/4" but ended up with a BetaCam) never slowed her down. She was covering a huge fireworks show, lots of drunks... her reporter was very pregnant... some drunks started harassing them. She tried to get them away from the reporter, but never put the camera down. Some idiot grabbed it from behind he she refused to let got. She save the camera but all the soft tissue and tendons etc. in her shoulder were torn to hell. She eventually had to have her arm amputed. She literally gave her right arm to save our company the cost of a BetaCam. The company that KNEW there would be drunks at this live shot location and didn't send ANY security.

So what? It's too bad that happened, but are you suggesting local stations send security out with reporters (or just female crews?) to every potentially dangerous situation?

If he's not, I am. It's better than having an employee get her arm amputated.

Well, if there's a sudden rise in photog arm amputations, then I might consider it ... otherwise, it's an entirely unpredictable result. Let's see a news director budget in security details for news crews and see how far that goes.

At 20 you don't get puffy eye bags without drinking. And you described yourself perfectly when you described anyone on this board as a bitter old lunatic. That's you sweet cheeks.

No... but this was the largest drunk fest of the year in Cincinnati... half a million people many of whom had been drinking for DAYS. They saw fit to send several rent-a-cops to protect anchors who were already behind police lines. But not for this two-woman live shot crew.

Again... There's no puffy eyes, not bags. You are just jealous.

Yes, you're undergoing it now.

Feel fortunate. Things have changed since the halcyon days of '03. My initiation at the hands of the natives of Zoanga-Banga was rather strenuous, and shall we say -- thorough...

As to your posting pictures, just a silly question, but did your models ever sign a release allowing your unlimited use of their likeness? As we've seen, there are those with little respect for the fact that the girl is someone's daughter...

(Also, are you using a light meter? There's something a little off on the lighting on each of the ones you've posted)

Miss Photog ... If this is a picture of you, I strongly recommend that you don't post any more and even delete this one. For all intents and purposes, this is a PUBLIC forum full of strangers. While I've made friends through this site; friends I respect and value, I've also had a run-in with someone who was very unbalanced and who made threats against me. This happened nearly ten years ago and he's no longer here but it's an example of why remaining anonymous is a good idea.
