Default I told you this first. You're welcome.

A sweet problem: Princeton researchers find that high-fructose corn syrup prompts considerably more weight gain.

by Hilary Parker

A Princeton University research team has demonstrated that all sweeteners are not equal when it comes to weight gain: Rats with access to high-fructose corn syrup gained significantly more weight than those with access to table sugar, even when their overall caloric intake was the same.

Remember when soda only came in 12 ounce cans and bottles?

Now a 2 liter bottle of soda is normal.

The 2 liter bottle was introduced in 1970. I seriously doubt you remember when soda only came in 12 ounce cans and bottles.

I think Fake's referring to the 2 Liter bottles that are a little easier to handle and less bulky than the regular 2 Liter bottles that one would normally get if they plan on using cups and ice and all that. The smaller 2 Liter bottles they have now I think they have refrigerated in the stores, so you can buy it cold and drink it.

They look like slightly larger versions of the 1 Liter Mountain Dew bottles they were selling up in Beloit when I stayed up there.

Two liters is two liters. The bottle can't get any smaller, because then it wouldn't be a two liter bottle.

Well...

There are two different kinds of 2 Liter bottles. One of them, the one Fake, I believe is referring to is the one that was made to be a little easier handled for the, "drink out the bottle," types. But they still make the other kind which normally wouldn't be good to handle the same way. Those are the kinds that have been around for a while. The easier to handle ones are still fairly new.

I think Kace means these bottles

which are slimmer, but taller, that Coke uses now instead of the old school

style. For good measure, here's what it might look like if you inserted a soda bottle into your rectum:

You're right. I'm also old enough to remember when cokes also came in 6 ounce bottles and were sold in vending machines that looked like this.

Also, when they were first introduced, they were intended to make drinking soda at home easier and more economical via a large multi-serving container.

They were never intended as single serving containers.

The newer 2 Liter bottles have the single serving ideal in mind.

I'm fine with the 24 Ounce bottles when they're on sale.

No dime?

Many a time when one had a simple cup in hand, just pull the bottle out as far as possible, pop the bottle top and allow gravity to fill the cup in hand with a refreshing beverage.

No fuss, no muss.

I don't get how anyone drinks any kind of soda. All if it is so sweet, it's disgusting.
