Default Job Opening!

You can probably guess where and what shift. It's cold and snows, A LOT, here, but the summers rock! The Chief is one of the best in the biz. And the morning guy ain't bad either. The shoes you'll be filling are BIG ones. If interested... shoot me or MIguel a PM. Or, the opening is officially listed on various sites.

PS - Once you join the KLAN, you are in for life!

Does posting numerous times per day about numerous topics on Medialine give you a better chance at landing this job?

Wait - I've been off for compdays from the Christmas "my name is Miguel or tvwxguy so I don't have to work" string, did something change with my employment status?

Yep. Looks like you'll be working 6 day weeks and building up some more of those comp days!

I've already inquired about this in the #wxline but when exactly do the launch codes to the GEMPAK tipped ICBM's get handed over. Also, who has the briefcase handcuffed to their arm?

Is this thread serious? Not about the opening, about everything else...

Man, and I'm working without a contract. If family didn't keep me down south I'd be all about it! Good luck in the search.

No. I've been taking online classes to get a BS in Emergency Management. Graduation is about a year away, but my county EMA hired me as a Regional Planner thanks to a FEMA grant. Just passed my 12 year anniversary of weekends (just shy of a full 10 here.)

Kind of sucks - 8-5 four days a week, no weekends, no holidays, no nights, no 12am calls saying "tvwxguy is sick, be to work in 3 hours", no 24 day stretches of every shift possible in a row... How will I handle it?

The big question is: Will we still be able to ask WWRD?

Congrats on the EMA gig.

The job posting should be "official" tomorrow or the next day.

Yeah, yeah...you'll be livin' large. Until the big meteorite hits. Then you'll have to bust your butt while the rest of us get time off for that whole "end of the world" thing.
