I have always liked Jack Cafferty. He tells you like it is .. he's not afraid to put it out there .. and he invites you to respond. I'd love to see HIM interview the Nominees - perhaps he's the only journalist left in this country who's NOT afraid to ask the hard questions.

Jack Cafferty is scum and he's a liar. Anyone who admires Cafferty is an idiot.

Jack Cafferty ran down a bicyclist in Manhattan and tried to drive off with the guy's bike still caught underneath his car. He was probably drunk at the time. The only reason Cafferty was caught was that someone wrote down his license plate number as he sped off. He was able to get a lawyer to get the charge reduced or he would have gone to jail for that despicable crime.

If Katie Couric or Charlie Gibson were a sleazy hit-and-run driver it would not be as relevant as it is re: Cafferty. Cafferty puts his opinions into everything he does (That's what CNN pays him to do). So the fact that Cafferty is despicable sleaze is relevant.

No, Shepard Smith got in an altercation with someone who was standing in a parking spot he wanted and drove into him. That was a bad thing.

Of course, it was nothing compared to running over a bicyclist and then driving away as fast as Cafferty could, running red lights, with sparks coming out from under his car because the bike was still caught under it.

That takes a real scum.

Like Jack Cafferty.
