Fox knew that they would get good TV by sending the reporter right smack in the middle of that demostration.

I'm sure they had a good guess as to what the response would be to said reporter, and the protesters acted just like Fox figured, like a bunch of loons, who are incapable of expressing an intellegent point about their cause...and were presented on national TV in that way.

Fox got exactly what they wanted, in my opinion.

Couldn't agree more. They also got to send an unspoken message: "See? They're ALL like this!"

Are you one of those who thinks that anyone who defends the right of free speech is defending the speech itself?

Or maybe you think that "free speech" only applies to speech you agree with?

The anarchists will try their best to start a riot in the Twin Cities. But I think their best shot was in Denver with the whole recreate 68 thing, which has failed so far. I'd be awfully surprised if there was chaos and mayhem outside the RNC. I'm sure the Code Pinkos and other yahoos will try their best, but I predict total failure. Of course if a FOX News reporter is "smart" enough to step into one of their little marches, maybe we'll get some action.

Which, in my opinion, was the reason why that live shot was done in the first place...

Ergo why I laugh at the chant. They're also kids and will most likely grow out of this phase when the parents stop supporting them.

Reminds me of the line from "The American President"

...For the record: yes, I am a card-carrying member of the ACLU. But the more important question is why aren't you, Bob? Now, this is an organization whose sole purpose is to defend the Bill of Rights, so it naturally begs the question: Why would a senator, his party's most powerful spokesman and a candidate for President, choose to reject upholding the Constitution? If you can answer that question, folks, then you're smarter than I am, because I didn't understand it until a few hours ago. America isn't easy. America is advanced citizenship....
