Default Miller Lite bringing back "less filling, tastes great" ads!

So sez the AP. I sez: ABOUT D*MNED TIME.

I still remember one Packer preseason loss vs. the Jets (figures, huh?) back in '84 or '85. The game got so bad, one whole section (underneath the old northeast scoreboard at Lambeau Field) stood up, pointed at the section next to them and shouted "LESS FILLING!" The other section responded in kind, "TASTES GREAT!"

Back and forth they went for a minute or so. To a 10-year-old, that's HILARIOUS. Nearly split my sides.

Anyhoo, to celebrate the return of the best beer ad concept EVER, here's some classics:

Bowling

The Lite Beer Open

George Steinbrenner vs. Billy Martin

A bar fulla Ray Nitschkes!?!?

Vince McMahon, Howard Finkel, Jesse "The Body" Ventura, and...Bob Uecker!?

Hell yeah.

Whenever a situation comes up where someone needs to perform an easy task to ensure victory, I often use the catchphrase, "all we need is one pin, Rodney".

Ben Davidson/Bubba Smith....

Seriously, Davidson used to be my landlord. He would autograph pictures of him in the Raiders' uniform with the Light Beer logo on the bottom of the picture. This was in 2000.... YEARS after the commercial!

Ya know what else is outdated about theses ads? The length of the commercials. Who runs 1:00-long commercials anymore?

Who should be in the new ads? Let's start a list

1. Charles Barkley
2.

I could see some very funny commercials with Barry Bonds, Terrell Owens, Brandi Chastain, Paris Hilton, Monica Lewinsky.

All the networks do, and they go even longer than a minute. Except that they refer to them as "news stories" on Obama.

Wouldn't it almost have to be Peyton and Eli Manning during football season?
