Default Goodbye Chicago!

Rumor has it that a half mile wide tornado just went through downtown at 8:30 eastern.

Everything I've seen/heard it seemed to go well south of downtown.

Default From WLS's website (and the AP)...

CHICAGO -- A slow-moving tornado has left a path of damaged homes, downed power lines and overturned semitrailers in its wake across Chicago's south suburbs.
Trooper Mark Dorencz says one person was injured on Interstate 57, a swath of which has been closed as authorities clear several overturned trucks.
The National Weather Service says the large tornado touched down between Richton Park and University Park about 6:30 p.m.
Will County sheriff's department spokesman Pat Barry says the tornado caused damage to several homes in the Wilmington area and has downed trees and power lines.

My parents live right in that area -- they're fine, but a lot of damage in the surrounding communities.

I just watched WGN's coverage and found it to be...well, poor. They had some great chaser video of the tornado and the I-57 scene, but the only video of their own was of the exact same scene on I-57 and an uprooted tree. Sound from an NWS employee, but nothing from victims. No damage visible in the live shot location, either.

I'd say there's a bit of rotation there!

Re: Streaming - we (at Fox Chicago) were on wall-to-wall for about 3 hours, both on-air and streaming, and had over 3,000 people watching online at one time.
