Anyone out there have a ballpark figure on what writers make at CNN? Not necessarily writers on a main show like AC 360, Lou Dobbs and the like. More in the area of writers for the general dayside or weekend newscasts.

Thanks!

Not to hijack, but watching the WV game tonight made me remember when AC was on during the trapped miners story. Watching the horror develop as the lady told him that the miners were in fact dead and the wrong information was given out originally was one of the most gut wrenching things I have seen. One of the few times that live TV was really worth it.

Mid to High 5 figures.</font>[/QUOTE]At CNN?

I always heard they paid super low... and that it was difficult to survive in Atlanta on their wages... but that's just what I've heard, from people who used to work there...

Isn't that an oxymoron?

Less than mid-five figures. I worked there. Of course, it depends on a lot of factors. I started at the bottom as a Video Journalist, which meant (at the time) chasing tapes and ripping scripts. You don't want to know my starting salary.
