Actually, I do.

I know that the physiological differences between men and women extend well beyond the obvious physical differences into *how* they interact with each other and in society as a whole.

I know that artificially blurring the gender roles set forth by Mother Nature is the root of many social and economic problems in modern society today, despite how "politically correct" it may be.

I also know that it's de classe to have a beer waiting for the husband, rather than a proper martini.

My wife takes soy isoflavones for post menapause. I thought it would be good for me to take them too. But, I read something that said that man shouldn't eat soy or take iron supplements.

So I didn't. And now Matt says they are bad.

Where did you get the asinine idea that I take soy supplements Ralpo? I'm talking about eating Miso Soup which I do maybe once every 3 months if that.

Relax, girls. Matt, as is his practice, is blowing smoke.

I know nothing about Soy Milk so I Googled the crap out of it. The dire effects he predicts were discovered in lab rats and hamsters.

He also found one story on one guy who, as Nibby points out, drank three quarts a day. Who in the hell drinks three quarts of any kind of milk (or pop or tea or juice) per day? And this is Matt's example?

In my vagabond childhood I spent a couple of years living with an army sergeant and his Japanese wife ... who had Soy Bean candy in candy dishes around the house, here and there. They both munched on it frequently. I tried it and immediately spit it out -- it was horrid, horrid tasting candy.

The sergeant never grew boobs (of course, neither did his wife for that matter but she was, you know, Japanese) while I was there. I suppose in Matt's freaked-out world it's possible, in some eye-crossing, theoretical sense, that the 'ol sarge developed cute little breasts after I left, but I couldn't find any reading that suggested that might occur.

And Ralphie: I've taken iron suppliments through large portions of my life. Now, what's the problem with those?
