Another small mark of the central place of Fox News in the Republican infrastructure: Carly Fiorina called Sean Hannity to apologize for suggesting on an open mike that he's a tough interviewer. Hardly a slur.

"I talked with Sean a little earlier this evening, and I apologized because what I was trying to convey was he is a tough interview," Fiorina said. "By the way, that's his job."

She'll be on Hannity's show Friday.
SUUUUUUUURE that's what she was trying to convey.
She must have been recalling all his tough interviews with Sarah Palin.

I'm sure she was trying to express her realistic fear that Hannity would throw a fellow neocon like Meg Whitman under the bus...you know, grill her with some real hardball questions.

How many? Two? Will it be a two-seat bloodbath, Toolie?

You know what? How about a little bet? A little side wager? You keep predicting a "bloodbath" so let's see how sure you really are of this outcome.

There are 312 democrats in Congress right now - 255 in the House and 57 in the Senate. So in my estimation, a "bloodbath" would mean the Dems lose control in BOTH of them, meaning at the end of the election, there's more Republicans than Democrats in both the House and Senate. Agreed?

If so, then here's what I propose: If the Dems lose control in both the house and senate, I will not post on this site for one entire month. You'll be able to say whatever you like about me and I'll be powerless to say anything.

If they keep control of BOTH house and senate (not a bloodbath, by any means) then YOU must refrain from posting for one month.

If they keep/lose only one, then it's a wash and nothing happens.

Sound like fun? Do we have a bet?

It would surely enhance your reputation and bolster your credibility if you could convince someone like me to enter into some sort of wager or something with you. Dream on.

You realize you're already spinning away the inevitable bloodbath. Keep it up.

Oh, and I already say whatever I want about you and your failed heroes with no response whatsoever from you or anyone else, so how would anything be any different??

The problem, NIB is NY'rr defines "bloodbath" as the Dems losing ONE seat.

However, the Republicans will probably lose at least one seat also... the one formally held by Jim Bunning-KY. I don't see Rand Paul (Republican Nominee) being able to keep the seat in the party.

So we have a bloodpath on both parties (using NY'rr's definition).

Oh I can see him winning. Considering that the turnout will be dominated by those seeking to send a "message", rather than voters choosing between the candidates' actual qualifications and proposals.

Except Paul, who's still recovering from his "foot in mouth disease", is now answering questions (actually refusing to) on why his willing to cut education funding (because he wants a "smaller" government), but he's not willing to cut Medicare (because they pay 1/2 his salary).

There you go again, thinking that races this year will be determined by issues. They won't. They'll be determined by image.

Where to begin? Where to begin..........what a week.

Obama gave disastrous speech about the oil spill. Poorly received by all, including some of the most dedicated Obama jock-sniffers at MSDNC. However, one Obama jock-sniffer at MSDNC, mister ED, crowed loudly about Obama "shaking down BP for 20 billion" and congratulating him. But the next day, shazam! MSDNC anchors were loudly complaining about a Republican who said Obama shook down BP for 20 billion. Which he will utilize for bribes to his union thug patrons and handlers.

Otherwise, it was a wonderful week for the Desperate Dems. The hole is still not plugged, but the Obama regime has done an excellent job removing and concealing any images of the oil spewing from the hole. Remember those images? They looked like this. You don't see it much anymore. It hasn't changed at all, but it wasn't helping the president as he desperately scrambles to turn around the perception that he is incompetent.

--------------------------

Meanwhile, the incompetent and imbecilic Secretary of State Mrs. Bill Clinton opened her big blabbermouth while talking to a South American interviewer and revealed that the Federal Government is going to sue Arizona over its immigration law. That should go well.

--------------------------

Then the Great Man was in Ohio to kick of the HA HA HA!!! the, the HO HO HO!!! the, BWAAA HA HAAA!! "Recovery Summer". The only work happening in this country is paid for by taxpayer subsidies, as indicated by the orange-and-green sign right over Obama's shoulder. The workers didn't make any money that day since they had to stand for a propaganda photo op.

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...ryId=127937785

The only jobs created in the last quarter were census employees hired by the federal government.

----------------------------

Desperate Dem Anti-Free Speech legislation proposals are having problems. They tried to buy off the NRA and get them to drop their opposition to another one of the Desperate Dems' unconstitutional, lawless, power grabs in the House of Representatives. The Desperate Dems were so skeered that people might spend money on campaigning that might be critical of them, and they bitterly hate the Supreme Court's recent decision which loosened the government's grip on freedom of speech. So they want to impose major burdens on free speech, and the National Rifle Association was publicly opposed. So the Desperate Dems made a pathetic ploy to exempt the NRA from their new onerous law in exchange for them dropping their opposition. Sleazy, dishonest, unprincipled Democrats. But the whole thing fell apart and Madame Speaker had to send her colleagues home for the weekend. Oh, well.

No, the census jobs counted for most of the job growth in May. (411,000). But there were still 20,000 other jobs also created in that same month.

Yeah, we're not in a boom yet, we get it. But at least we seem to be moving forward.

HA HA HA!! We're moving forward. I like that. HO HO!! "Seem to be". HA HA!!

So you're saying that the fact that 5 percent of the jobs created in the last quarter are actual jobs, is Okee Dokee. (20,000/400,000).

Never mind all the heinous atrocities against humanity I just listed for the Desperate Dems this week. There is no response to any of that since it is all true.

"We're not in a boom yet." HA HA HA!! "Yet."

Obama's moratorium on drilling for oil should produce a boom any minute now.

If you think that any Republican with the possible exception of ol' Joe would call for drilling for oil right now, you're insane.

Really?

So tell me, genius, how long should this country go without drilling for oil? Hmmm? A month? A year? Until the end of Obama's presidency in January 2013?

Or maybe we should just never drill for oil again. That probably makes sense to you and some of the boneheads around here.

No oil means skyrocketing fuel prices (driven past your local gas station lately?) Just another step toward the November 2010 bloodbath for the Desperate Dems. Their situation deterirorates with each passing day.

Prices in Dallas are pretty normal. I paid $2.48 a gallon yesterday.

I forgot to add: You're a racist.

I've already said that we should be shoring up our nuclear infrastructure and moving to electric cars instead of increasing our oil production. That being said, we're going to have to drill for more oil because it takes about 20 years to build a new nuclear facility.

I would think we'd end the moratorium once we determined that the other wells out there aren't likely to repeat the Deepwater Horizon episode.

The logical worst case date for the ban to be in place would be when the relief well is finished. That way, if lightning strikes again, at least we'd have resources available to fix the new problem.

You make some sense there.

Massive investment in nuclear power generation is a good idea. However, even if we had unlimited cheap electricity (how far-out does that sound in the Age of Obama? Unlimited, cheap electricity!) we would not be driving electric cars for the simple reason that there are no batteries in existence which would make an electric car anything close to a real car, in terms of range and ability to re-fuel. Not even close. Also, environmentalist whackos completely overlook the fact that batteries contain highly toxic compounds, far more toxic than petroleum. ALSO, efficient electric motors rely on "rare-earth" magnetic core materials, which are almost completely found in China. So there goes your "Energy independence" right there.

But you make some valid points. The ban should not last more than the time required to drill a relief well. That is supposedly going to be thirty days. Any longer than that, and the oil companies who have complied faithfully with the safety practices and done a good job will all have moved their rigs elsewhere.

We need to keep up the pace of oil drilling for at least 20 years, sure. Maybe even 200 years, before there is something which could truly replace it (as of today there isn't anything even close).

Or, then again, maybe we will end it today.

A federal judge has smacked down the lawless, unconstitutional thug Obama regime's illegal moratorium on offshore drilling, in response to a lawsuit by the companies who actually engage in offshore drilling. Once again, the Obama regime looks like complete douchebags. They will lose their federal lawsuit against Arizona as well. Liars. Hypocrites. Thugs. Looters.
