I don't. People like Obie aren't worth the effort to try to be nice to.

Obie's the typical ignorant conservate ass you see at teabag events. He comes in here, calls us all idiots and then whines and cries about what a mean, hateful liberal I am when I tell him that since he thinks we're all idiots he'd be better off posting elsewhere. What else should I say? You can't debate with someone who won't even listen to you.

The bottom line is that people like Obie ARE the problem. They are content to sit on their butts and contribute complaints all day long but when pressed for a solution to ANYTHING their answer is to just leave things the way they are. I think the last 8 years speak volumes to what that sort of leadership has given us, and the idea that we're all idiots for noticing the obvious tells me exactly what kind of person we're dealing with here. So rather than explain that ad nauseum (which gets us nowhere) I just call him a jackass and move on (which also gets us nowhere but takes alot less time and effort).

Oh, I think there'll be some changes, but not a socialized system. The plan I have is OK, so I'm glad it won't be regulated out of existence, leaving me without health insurance if they do a government run thing for the group that seems to want it for themselves. I don't like the idea of taking health insurance away from one group and then having those people and the government provide it for another, which seems to be the goal of the militant "public option" people.
