[CrimeFileNews] Arizona Congresswoman Shot Dead, Numerous Others Also shot

Tucson, AZ—At least 12 people were shot and at least six are now reported dead including three term Democratic Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, 40 who was shot in the head.

The shooting took place outside a Tucson Safeway grocery store where Giffords was attending a political gathering.

There was a male subject tacked by bystanders and taken into custody described as being in his late teens or twenties.

There is no word yet on the identification of the suspect or a motive. The police agency involve is apparently the Pima County Sheriff’s office

Giffords is married to a NASA astronaut who is due to command the last space shuttle mission.
