Default Idiotic AP headline of the day

"Family: Soldier who died joined Army was patriotic".

This is what you get when you fire all of your experienced people and try to make do with interns and high school newspaper cast-offs.

I don't understand how it got past management ... management isn't comprised of interns and high school newspaper cast-offs, is it?

Wouldn't his recruiter have noticed something unique about him?

In trying not to discriminate against anyone, the military is now accepting the previously living. (Dead has such a negative connotation and can easily engender discrimination.)

This isn't a headline, but an article teaching us that even the obvious needs to be explained: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100308/...ey_cablevision

Quote:
Derek Baine, a senior analyst at SNL Kagan, said that if all four networks charged $1, that would total $4 a month in new fees. Most cable companies couldn't absorb that cost increase and would have a hard time passing them onto consumers, he said.

It's a good thing they brought in a senior analyst to explain what 4 x $1 is because a junior analyst would probably get that wrong.

While that deceased person may have joined the Army, apparently in Greece corpses there become politicians.

CBS headline fail.
