Nice.

From Calvin's article:

Insiders believe the development means the bids did not meet the minimum. Chairman Vincent Young had anticipated strong interest in the stations, which include KRON San Francisco and WBAY Green Bay.

Does anybody have any faith in Vincent Young's business judgment at this point? Could this guy be any more of a joke?

I thought Rosenblum made that newsroom into a winning and unstoppable force. Was I wrong?

Are the VJ's still able to edit at home - naked - while cooking bacon at the same time?

Sadly, there's not much laughter in his wake.

I've never really seen the entity uncovered that fronted the Youngs the nearly three quarters a billion dollars for the KRON deal without the due diligence that would've easily uncovered how NBC was going to scuttle the deal.

Yet once more, a sigh for the good ol' days, thinking of how KCAL and KRON used to be.

It's also interesting to see newspapers quoting NewsBlues as source for some of the information.

Amazingly, through it all, Deb McDermott keeps a gig...

I was just reminiscing about that post the other day. What a silly thread that was.

They already do this for Four Points Media Group so i wouldn't be surprise to see this happen also.

Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc. Enters Into Agreement To Manage Television Operations of Four Points Media Group
Monday, 23 Mar 2009 07:00am EDT

Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc. announced that it has entered into an agreement with Four Points Media Group LLC (Four Points), owned by an affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management, L.P., whereby Nexstar will provide management services for Four Points' seven television stations located in four markets. Under the terms of the agreement, Nexstar will receive a fixed annual management fee of $2 million per year, as well as annual incentive compensation based on increases of the broadcast cash flow of Four Points' stations. Nexstar will also be entitled to a share of the equity profits if the stations are sold while the agreement is in effect. The agreement provides for minimum compensation to Nexstar of $10 million if the Four Points stations are sold during the initial three year term of the agreement.

I guess it depends on which is worse--incompetent greed or malevolent greed.

No, I checked a spot the Brokenlets don't have access to - my secret change stash-spot a.k.a. the ashtray of the Brokenmobile. Ha ha!

Of course... I'm broke now. Hope no one minds working for free for a few months... :shifty:

In related news, Mark the Voice has donated his administrator rights to a consortium led by Randy and Calvin. The resulting eleven-figure amount has catapulted the group into prominent leadership to take over Young, Nexstar, and Sinclair...

You neglected to mention that all eleven figures are found to the right of the decimal point.
