View Full Version : NY Sen. Tom Duane's Stab Broadcasters in the Back Bill

Flip flopping from his vote only a year ago, State Sen. Tom Duane is sponsoring a bill that would gut the Broadcast Employees Freedom to Work Act, which banned non competes in broadcasting. Duane would allow non competes again, in any case in which there was any amount of severance.

This, of course, would put broadcasters back in a situation in which the stations could enforce low ball offers by saying, "If you don't like it, move out of town," knowing that in this market we have greatly diminished opportunities.

Contact State Sen. Duane and let him know that it isn't just flip-flopping, it's stabbing us in the back.
