It's a shame as I like Campbell. That timeslot though is just bad news for her.

Maybe everybody was watching the Stanley Cup. They were reporting the highest ratings for a long time.

Wow... I've never taken a real close look at these numbers before, but apparently FOX news is absolutely slaughtering the other networks. Poor Brown though... honestly, how can you compete with O Reilly/Olbermann?

I'll tell you how. Just do the news. You wouldn't win every night, but when the news is compelling you would get ALL of the FOX and MSNBC viewers.

My favorite line from the writeup:
A CNN spokesperson tells TVNewser: "It's one summer Friday. CNN offers viewers the only non partisan news programming in prime time and will continue to report the hard news of the day."
First of all, it's not summer yet. But facts should never get in the way of self-promotion. Second, "CNN offers...the only non partisan news...in prime time..." I'll defer to you on that one. Any takers?

And 1am is not in the middle of the night.
School is out. It's summer for regular people who don't rely on some obscure outdated reference to the seasons.

the guy who replaced her got horrible numbers, and the CNN spin then was that when she returned the numbers would pick up.
guess not.

The article said "non partisan news programming" on CNN. Really? LOL
These people are so convinced their views are the right ones they can't even acknowledge they're out in "left" field.
I actually like to hear a little from both sides so I can make up my own mind, and CNN is anything but centrist. If they're going to be a partisan network, why try to masquerade? At least fess up, that might actually help them.
