Are not we carrying this alleged shooter in the Holocaust Museum shooting a bit far by calling him "alleged holocaust shooter charged with murder".
Is this political correctness run amuck.
Wasn't he brought to the hospital shackled to a gurney with gunshot wounds?
WTF is alleged about him being involved in the shooting?

I think it falls under the whole innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.

Actually I think it just a poorly disguised attempt to up the syllable count to make the story sound more serious.
Nothing wrong with calling him the "Museum Shooting Suspect" instead.

I think he shouldn't be convicted until such time that he is actually convicted.

Lewis Black said it best:
A robber goes into a bank. He holds out his gun, and demands money. On camera. The guy takes the bag of money, on camera, and runs out of the bank. On camera. The cops have him in custody. On camera. But the report says that he is a suspect. WTF happened? Did my world just go upside down?

i suppose we don't outright say "murderer" because there is a possibilty (although small) that he might not be convicted of "murder." He could enter a plea for manslaughter, or be found not guilty by reason of insanity. Murder carries a legal threshold that must be met in order to be applied. That's why you say "suspect." I think "alleged" is the wrong word as well -- "accused" is probably better.

It could all be a giant conspiracy by the Bilderbergers to take him out.
Seriously, though, what are you people smoking? "Alleged" isn't a magic word that protects you from a civil suit. Just attribute your information, and you'll be fine.
If you want to get cliche, see how many times you can tack "White Supremacist" on to the shooter's name. Especially if you work for the 24 hour cable nets, some of us have a drinking game planned with the help of TiVo.
