Opinions on the Las Vegas Market... best stations, type of news?

We usually stay at MGM, and they have decent rates and a good poker room. Last time, though, we stayed at Caesar's palace, and it was phenomenal! Excellent sushi bar there as well.

When counting cards, find a table with one deck blackjack.....two isn't too bad but one is better.
Also, don't increase your bet from 20 to 100 bucks when the count is +8....casinos notice those things....:)

Avoid any games with wheels, or handles. Unless you are a big shot with a lot of money to throw away. Go for safer bets, like craps.

Always bet on black, I saw that in a movie.

I have a boring Luxor story, but I'm not going to tell it no matter how many times you ask.

KLAS is a great station. Good people, equipment, fully staffed, etc. Solid #1. Focus on investigative and breaking/hard news.
KVBC was a big player but they've fallen off the map. Low moral, low pay, strange decisions... Hard news focus, a few features and entertainment.
KTNV is pretty bad too. Same issues as KVBC, they've just been at the bottom longer. The two battle for #2, but more often KVBC wins. Very unclear on their focus.
KVVU is ethically bankrupt and should stop calling their product news. No journalists, just people who want to be on tv. Hard news, lots of nonsense.
I prefer the Wynn. Great poker room.

I would gamble to say that (no pun intended) KlAS is the best in the market, but you might try KVBC as a backup. KVVU has lost their shirt and will probrably drop their newscast in the near future.

Are you saying the chips are down for KVVU?
Obviously, since they collectively only have one shirt, I guess.

I think all bets are off for KVVU.

About five years ago, I interviewed with a station there that flew me in and out the same day cross-country. (#*$&*($.

Speaking of the Las Vegas market, you can't beat the Fresh Market Buffet at Harrah's!

It's been long retired. What a POS.

Has the housing market bounced back yet?
No, but my wife and I recently bought a foreclosure for half of what it sold for in 2005.
