Normal, IL. -- A group of college students say they are lucky to be alive after three hours of intense X Box.
"It was really nice today, and I thought I was going to die if I had to sit through Geography 135", said Rand al'Thor, a sophmore at Illinois State University. al'Thor was one of several students authorities say was involved in the impromptu and dangerous gaming session.
Police say GEO 135, which is taught by Dr. Harshbarger, contains basic concepts of geography, along with the regional geography of Europe, Russia, Anglo America, Latin America, Subsaharan Africa, Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia, and Austrasia.
Area students tell WJOK the class is also "pretty darn boring", and consisted mainly of endless slides of hay bales, which are apparently supposed to be signifigant because they are round, and not square.
Instead of the class, Police say the students attempted to play several games on the highest setting, which is only recommended for the most advanced players. Two of the students were rushed to Bromenn medical center with severe cases of "X Box thumb".
They are listed in serious, but stable condition. No arrests have been made.
