Do you have a problem with this script?
NEW UPDATES TODAY ON A PROPOSAL TO DELETE THE STATE'S GROCERY TAX.
IT'S HIT A MAJOR SNAG IN THE LEGISLATURE.
DEMOCRATS ARE THE PROBLEM.
THEIR ISSUE: DEMOCRATIC SENATORS INSIST THAT LAWMAKERS ALSO VOTE ON A PROPOSAL OF ANNUAL PROPERTY TAX REAPPRAISALS.
THE DEMOCRATIC LEGISLATORS WANT TO RETURN TO DOING THEM EVERY 3 YEARS AND THEY MAY BLOCK THE GROCERY TAX PROPOSAL IF REPUBLICANS DON'T AGREE TO A COMPROMISE.
ALL THE WHILE TAXPAYERS WILL BE THE ONES TO CONTINUE PAYING MORE AT GROCERY STORES.
This is the way it was read on air on a weekend morning show.
I'll let others comment before I give any more input.

This is a trick question, right?
wx or not

I'm blinded by the obviousness of this. What was the question again?

Not a trick question. This is the way it aired and there was no backlash.

This should go in Journalism 101 textbooks for how NOT to write a script.

I'm more offended by "*delete* the state's grocery tax" than anything else. Let's just hope the Democrats don't backspace progress!
The script made my head hurt. What red state 100's market is this?

For some reason, I heard Steve Doocy's voice.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks this stuff is complete crap.
Same individual... different script:
NEW DETAILS TONIGHT ON THE BITTER FIGHT FOR THE 3RD DISTRICT CONGESSIONAL SEAT.
RELENTLESS DEMOCRATIC ATTACK ADS ABOUT JOE SCHMOE'S MEDICAL CAREER ARE ALL OVER YOUR TV.
THE SPIN DOCTORING IS DESIGNED TO DESTROY VOTER TRUST IN THE REPUBLICAN.
BUT, ARE THE ADS TRUE?
AND WHAT DO DR. SCHMOE'S PATIENTS HAVE TO SAY?
TODAY, WE MET ONE OF THOSE PATIENTS.
I don't know if management isn't watching, doesn't care or doesn't see anything wrong with these.
Either way, it's pathetic.

The mistakes in these scripts are too obvious.
If someone approved such writing...they should be fired....or hired on a commentary show.

I can think of any number of companies where the management would CHEER that kind of partisan crap in a script.
Sinclair and Fox are only the most obvious. Then there was that station with the psycho anchor married to the "ex" GOP consultant...the one who attacked Biden and asked the other side why they didn't attack more... her ND applauded her interviews...

There are so many things wrong with those two scripts that the blatant partisanship is the least of my worries.

The first script was about 7 months ago. The other two... more recent.
But still nothing. I'm thinking about writing a nice e-mail to the powers-that-be expressing my concern over this.
Glad to know I'm not just 'seeing things.'

Unless you're management, that would probably be a mistake. At the very least it would be a waste of time.
