.... and given it pays union scale, it probably pays better than *your* job!

---

We are The Onion News Network, an online web video spin-off of the popular satirical newspaper The Onion. We are looking to cast new on-air talent to our roster of Anchors and Reporters. We deal in scripted, satirical news designed to poke fun at the media, politics, and pop culture (similar to The Daily Show with Jon Stewart or The Colbert Report). Wherever possible, we like to work with performers who have an actual background in broadcast news and ideally ones who have a sense for the satirical and our brand of humor. theonion.com/video Essentially, this is an acting job, not a broadcasting job. Like most other acting jobs, this job would be freelance. We usually ask our regular broadcast performers to work one or two days every month or so. Also, we are AFTRA signatory, so this would be a union job. If interested in submitting yourself, please email a current headshot or demo material to casting@theonion.com. NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE. We are looking to cast immediately, so if interested you should submit ASAP. Submit your information, headhsot and/or demo reel to: casting@theonion.com Best, Cody Beke Casting Coordinator The Onion News Network 536 Broadway NYC, NY 10012
