Where can I find a navy blue jacket, men's 48R with 23 inch sleeves? The man has the shortest arms I've ever seen.

Doesn't it relate to his POW injuries? I thought I heard that somewhere. I could be VERY wrong, though. It's been known to happen.

Yea, I thought maybe his shoulders were damaged during the torture he endured or something. I wasn't being critical but I can't keep from noticing every time I see a walking shot of him. I mean his arms don't even hang below his belt line.

You're racist.

With all the info about each candidate, it's hard to believe you don't know that after torture McCain can't lift his arms above shoulder level, needs help to comb his hair, and to put on that jacket. Which I can't believe is even a topic for discussion with everything else going on...

Thanks for the info....if I run into him, I won't challenge him to a 3 point contest.

Does an inability to lift your arms make them shorter?

McCain actually broke his arms and a leg during ejection from his plane. (It's why a lotta guys try to ride a busted plane down as long as they can -- the ejection process, or hitting the rudder, or not having the chute deploy from the seat, or a myriad of other factors always made us real reluctant to punch out)

McCain got little or lousy treatment after capture, spent two years in solitary with still no more treatment, then was tortured repeatedly with rope bindings and beatings, focusing on his already disfigured arms and shoulders.

This is the first I've heard about his arm length (Such essential info considering everything else at stake), but it's highly likely that his arms atrophied from limited range of movement.

See, when Obama was showing off his basketball skills, he was doing it as a way to disrespect McCain. Obama bad! So uhh...vote McCain.

Every time you shoot a three-pointer, you are helping the terrorists.

When you shoot a three pointer, you raise your arms...like someone surrendering. And John McCain three-points for no one!

The real question is, does he know how many coats he owns?

I've known about McCain not being able to lift his arms since his early Senate days--read it in a profile somewhere. Any good tailor can do alterations to an off-the-rack suit to make it fit one's arm length. Of course, McCain may have custom or semi-custom suits due to that particular issue--I've known a few guys with similar physical limitations who have done this.

Bob Dole has trouble doing everyday things as well due to his war injuries. According to a piece I saw, it takes him about 2 hours to put on his shirt and tie everyday but he has always insisted on doing it himself. And when he has dinner, his meal is served with the meat already cut. And as he once quipped, "It'd be hard for me to hang wallpaper."

Senator Daniel Inouye also has similar limitations, although his remaining arm appears to function quite well, when I've seen him on TV.
