Oh please. Not to speak ill of the dead, but she was a total attention *****. She would show up at events on the Hill that she had nothing to do with, just to get her face on camera. Once she showed up at a presser to which she wasn't invited and stood right behind the speaker, making strange, distracting faces and craning her neck to see over his left shoulder at his notes. In my earpiece I heard my producer say, "What the hell is Stephanie Tubbs-Jones doing?" It was bizarre.

Earlier, at least 2 networks said she was dead but later retracted that. One station in Cleveland also said she "was not expected to recover."

My guess is that doctors told her family that she had no chance of surviving... that prompted the first round of "She's Dead" reports...

Then they kept her heart beating so they could harvest her organs for transplant... that took a few hours... then they declared her dead.

But again it's just my guess.
