Hello all...just quick post to let everyone know my first book is out...It's called "How to Find a Good Weather Forecast" and it's all about how weather forecasts are really made, who's really doing them, and how to find the most accurate information from the internet, TV and Radio. It's not a text book...there's plenty of humor, and it gives a good behind-the-scenes look at TV weathercasting. I truly believe that the internet has NOT been a good thing for weather forecasting...why? It's all in the book. http://www.easternuswx.com/bb/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif The cost is only $10 and a portion of that goes directly to The Maryland Food Bank. Order here: www.mavenmarkbooks.com (http://www.mavenmarkbooks.com/)
Thanks!

Leave out the clutter, and what do you get?
1. I can help you to discover the best internet information;
2. The internet is not good for weather forecasting.
What does this mean?
TPann doesn't understand irony. This stuff is funny!:shifty:

I worked with Tony Pann years ago.
You regulars know me... I rank weather anchors up there with reality show hosts and cross-dressing ex-cops from Chicago.
But Tony is a great guy. He is honest, straightforward and he always made clear that forecasting is just that an educated estimate about what the immediate future might hold in terms of weather. Of all the weather people I've worked with, including the one who ended up in Federal Prison for fraud, Tony is the one I'd hire first if I was staffing a news department.
The fact that he was also easy to work with and the least egotistical weather person I've ever met, I look forward to his book.
