Ya know, not to derail a lengthy bash-Produce thread, and he certainly doesn't need me defending him, but he simply aired the same kind of gripe each and every person on this board has probably had at some point in their career ... whether it's the Olympics, Monday Night Football or any kind of sporting event/network cut-in or whatever that went long and forced us to sit on that desk or in the control room longer than we normally would have ... we ALL have grumbled the same exact thing at one time or another ... and you all know it. Produce simply aired his grievance on this message board, perhaps thinking others here could relate to it ... granted, I don't think he should have pulled his original thread, but that was his decision. I do understand the reason for his creating it in the first place, though, and I think it's pretty hypocritical for people to jump on his complaining when they've done the exact same thing themselves.

We now return you to your Produce-hatefest already in progress ...

Wow, NBC does suck for sure.

They just aired President Bush's convention address on a 5-minute tape delay, with no audio from the convention center (cheering crowd), so it appeared as if the president was just pausing for 15-20 seconds every so often for nothing. A distinct contrast from the actual speech, which contained many applause lines. NBC did a fine job making sure none of the applause was heard. It ended up looking weird.

A rare example of a TV network trying to do whatever they can to drive viewers away from their broadcast.

Why an "MSNBC" logo in the corner of the screen? Isn't NBC still the real network?
