I'm working on making posters for my room and I'm trying to get a few inspirational quotes on the walls. Here's what I've got so far:
"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall" Confucius
“I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand” Chinese Proverb
“A smooth sea never made a skillful mariner” English Proverb
Can someone top these? I'm only putting up three.

I still don't get what's wrong with those shirts? I'm not offended at all by them. In fact .. they look rather nice compared to some I've seen the kids wear.
And ... I have to jump on board the tucking in shirts band wagon. I haven't tucked in one of my own shirts in 20 years ... how can I force a kid to tuck in theirs?

The reason the shirts are against dress code is because of the gang affiliation they carry. The red and blue ones denote bloods and crips and the white ones denote Latin Kings. We do not want kids wearing their gang shirts to school because it could cause a gang fight, therefore the shirts are disallowed, meaning that innocent kids that have never been in a gang or even a fight cannot wear their Tall T's either. It's sad that it has to be that way, but until we figure out a way to keep kids from fighting over the color of their shirts that's the way things have to be.
We do not require kids at my school to tuck their shirts. What we do require is that anyone dressed in a way that violates the dress code has to remedy that violation before going to class, which means either calling mom or dad for a new shirt or tucking in a shirt if its length violates the dress code.

Those shirts look really queer.
They are way too long.
And seriously, they would look good on a well-proportioned girl wearing a pair of nice stilletto heels.
Either way the length is too long.

That's awesome. My band director's best motivational quote was:

I was covering a story at a local school years ago. One of the teachers, TEACHERS mind you, had printed up and put on the wall:

I wonder what the English scores of her students were like on standardized tests?
