Came across this video... Looks like we've turned Iraq into the next Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, the dollar is inflated, the value of my house has fallen, and gas is 4 times as expensive as it was 8 years ago. Oh, and we have some guy running for president who just wants to keep things going the way they're going, and some people actually think he's SMART! Are you proud to be an American?

I too am proud.
Are you speaking of this candidate Obama?
Proverbial sheep in wolves clothing.
No trust at all to me.
The US election system needs to leave the two party idea and accept other party thoughts and wisdom.
In it's present state, it's too restrictive and suspect.
Bring back Whigs, legitimize Green candidates and Independents.
The idea of "lessor of two evils" has grown old.
We deserve better.
In representation and common sense.
The two party system doesn't work.
I'm damn proud to be an American.
Feel free to ask any other questions.

Yes, I'm very proud to be an American, but that doesn't stop me from wondering about the brand of freedom we're trying to export to Iraq. Do you think they know that our version of freedom means that you won't be allowed to smoke...eat trans-fats...or have a McDonalds near your house? And if you choose to speak out against the government, you may still run the risk of persecution even though Saddam Hussein is no longer running the ship?

Proud to be an American? Yes, just not proud of some of the things the government has done in our name.

Everyone keeps mentioning oil prices in regards to our current president. I wonder if all the othe countries in the world blame Bush for their gas prices rising too.

I don't specifically blame the Bush Administration for gasoline prices. There's plenty of "blame" to go around over the past 35 years. Plus, the Bush Administration did not force third world countries like India and China to become more prosperous and want cars for their own citizens (while subsidizing fuel).
