How is this not a gross violation of the fourth amendment?

Federal agents may take a traveler's laptop computer or other electronic device to an off-site location for an unspecified period of time without any suspicion of wrongdoing, as part of border search policies the Department of Homeland Security recently disclosed.

Also, officials may share copies of the laptop's contents with other agencies and private entities for language translation, data decryption or other reasons, according to the policies, dated July 16 and issued by two DHS agencies, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

There is a Cure for this kind of Behavior.

I am one of those who believes that thoughts of one's
own making, whether stored on hard drive, compact disc,
or even of written word, Diary, Letters, Etc., should
receive the same protections as the Self, when it comes
to 5th Amendment rights regarding Self-Incrimination.

Unless, there is clear probable cause for Lawful Warrant,
what is the difference between information being stored
in your brain, and/or your choosing to log it to a medium
that allows clear record of those thoughts for future
reference?

Probable Cause is one of the most important protections
ever offered, and yet the first one to routinely be trampled
upon.

So? ...What does this have to do with Christmas?

--------------

Any System designed to breakdown the sovereignty of the Self
without meaningful lawful intent, must be defeated.

The Cure is often far more easy than meets the eye.

When someone wants to take something from you? What is the
most efficient way of making that party lose interest in such
pursuits?

Give them more than they ever asked for. Instead of viewing
the challenges they present as a roadblock, view them as new
avenues to their own defeat.

In comes "The Christmas Gift!"

You know what they want for Christmas! ...but often the Gift
you wanted, isn't the Gift you receive.

In this instance, they want Data. They will take your Data willingly.
And You know there is nothing You can do about it!

There is Your Opening.

Why would anyone hack into a System that is offering to let you intro-
duce whatever Data you have to offer?

The Idea is, You know what they are looking for? But You are the one
has full control of just what kind of Data they will be accessing after
their unlawful seizure.

You Start sending tons and tons of malicious software encrypted in those
removable media discs, and they'll find out real quickly the error of their
ways.

The Christmas Present may look like a Christmas Present, but it's not always
Christmas.

Similar Defeats have been achieved with the NSA Domestic E-Mail Spy Program.
When they wanted to examine e-mail traveling to foreign destinations? What
was the simplest way to defeat that system?

Overload it with innocuous spam e-mail. Viral E-mail that is Self Replicating
from E-Mail lists of people they would consider friendly. They Open a Door, and
You Shove as much crap down their throats as you can find.

---------------

Same with E-Mail Aggregation. They sift through mail to find illegal or unwanted
activity? You start sifting through government E-Mail in Search of the same. You'd
better believe at the levels of corruption found in this government, You will come
out the Winner when it comes to stacking dog sh!t on their porch.

Always examine their motives, then apply that knowledge in your own creativity.

Freedom isn't always Free, but with their help? ...It could be.
