They have always made me laugh out loud, even when I was ashamed of what I was laughing at. Austin Powers movies do that too.

Am I showing my (old) age here...???
Anybody ever heard of Cheech and Chong...???
I also think it's kind of funny... apparently greed is stronger than personal feelings... I remember the "hell freezes over before we work again" article from many, many years past.

I thought that Cheech was a born again Christian and had regrets about doing the comedy he and Chong did in the past.
Has he fallen off the wagon?

I went to a Cheech and Chong "concert" shortly after Big Bamboo was released.
As funny as the show was, I couldn't believe the PD presence.
The show was in-the-round (meaning revolving stage), and officers were spaced about 75 feet in separation.
Still the smoke rose.
TRIVIA:
Originally a vehicle for Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong
According to the DVD special features,
the film was originally conceived as a vehicle for Cheech & Chong; Ivan Reitman has also stated that the reason this fell through was because their manager insisted (without the pair's knowledge) on a 25% share of Reitman's next five films, which he wasn't willing to give up. The script was then rewritten for Bill Murray and Harold Ramis, and most of the "stoner" humor was shifted to the "Elmo" character played by Judge Reinhold.
The movie was Stripes (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083131/trivia).
