Here, I'd thought I'd see a lively topic about McCain's new commercial. Are there no opinions about it?

I thought is was creative and pretty spot on.
But, I'm sure the members of his cult wouldn't see it that way.
And why didn't you post a link?
I guess you don't want people to see it, huh?

Obama tells up what he thinks about Obama? Well, yeah, I suppose he does.

So much for John McCain's pledge to take the high road in this campaign. That didn't last long. It's just another example of how he'll change his tune at the drop of a hat to get elected.

Tripe said that all McCain could do was talk about Obama...and you said the same could be said about Obama. And I'm agreeing with you. Obama IS talking about himself and his ideas.

Obama is also pointing out the scare tactics being used by the Republicans. It's how Republicans have been winning elections since 1988.

And for the record, I think they are both piiss poor candidates.

Fair comparison. Obama says the McCain policies are not much different than the Bush policies. Nothing wrong with saying that. It's up to the voters if they agree or not.

Obama has also been saying what he'd do differently than what President Bush is doing and what McCain would do.

And I'm pointing out that Obama is playing the same race card on McCain that he did on the Clintons.

In fact, Obama is the only one even talking about race.

Big mistake, and everyone can see it.

You can turn on any television and see the ad. I'll not help spread the smear campaign.

The commercial comes off a bit jealous and bitter, yeah? Similar to the unpopular kids in school spreading rumors about the popular. What the McCain camp can't quite put their fingers on is why precisely Obama is so popular.

Only if you live in a battleground state.

Here's how it works, folks. Much of Bush's reelection staff is working for McCain. The strategy: take the opponents main strength and attack it. Obama's main strength is that a whole lot of people are very interested in him and will turn out to see him. So they're portraying that as a negative.

Britney, Paris Air Savage Anti-McCain Ad

Party Gals Slam Mac in Negative Spot

http://www.borowitzreport.com/Uploads/97497a16-ce82-4693-8697-8eed14e4123a.jpg One day after Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz) broadcast an anti-Obama ad in which he compared the presumptive Democratic nominee to celebrities Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, the two tabloid mainstays fought back with an eviscerating anti-McCain spot of their own.

While Mses. Spears and Hilton said they had planned to remain on the sidelines during the 2008 presidential campaign, Sen. McCain's negative ad "left us no choice," the notorious party gals said today.

"We don't mind John McCain going after us if he sticks to the facts," Ms. Spears said at a New York press conference. "But we are sick of the distortions about our record."

Ms. Hilton said that the McCain ad appeared to link herself and Ms. Spears to Sen. Obama, leading the casual viewer to conclude that the three of them had "the same energy policy."

"Nothing could be further from the truth," said Ms. Spears. "Both of us strongly favor off-shore drilling to reduce our dependence on foreign oil."

Ms. Hilton said she was also "offended" by the implication that she and Ms. Spears favor a tax on electricity: "We have both been very clear on that issue."

In their anti-McCain spot, the two starlets fight fire with fire, comparing Sen. McCain to the Joker from the smash-hit film "The Dark Knight."

"It's perfectly fair," Ms. Spears said of the ad. "They both have pasty white faces and totally creepy smiles."

You were all to willing to smear Hillary.
And now you are just as jazzed up to smear McCain.

Look, Dappy, the ad was pretty ineffective.
It was a distraction at best.
But, it certainly distracted you.
Did it strike a chord?
Did it cause you to question your guy?
If you let a little thing like this put some doubt in your mind then your guy may not be that substantial.

My dear, dear Buffalo Man. I have no doubts about my guy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puLUpJpOOGo&eurl=http://janeqcitizen.blogspot.com/).

OK, I thought the funniest part of the whole saga was the fact that hilton's parents donated money to McCain's candidacy. This is much funnier. This is the first time I've had any sort of respect for Hilton. The ability to laugh at her self and perception of herself. Well done.
