I'm currently a freelancer in a top 25 market and I'm searching for F/T work. I'm trying to be my own "agent" by sending out resumes and DVDs. What about headshots? I've heard mixed reviews that they can help, but mostly they hurt your chances. I have some prints that I've held off on sending and they're just collecting dust ... Are there any situations where sending one is OK?

If I bite the bullet and start shopping for an agent, would it be a good idea or a bad idea to include a headshot with my packages thet I'm sending to agencies?

I'd stay away from headshots, unless you're looking for on-cam work on "Guiding Light" or "General Hospital".
