I think the reporter and ND should be fired, drummed out of the business and the reporter charged with theft.

Oddly enough, there has been virtually no mention in local news accounts of whether Williams' action might be unethical. Personally, I believe it is.

When you take things that do not belong to you, or have not been given to you, have not been found in the course of, oh lets say, 'dumpster diving' or something akin, its called theft, stealing, etc. Our station lawyers would have never allowed a story to air based on this and might have even called the cop on me themselves.

I agree, southernguy.

It makes me ask how many of Williams' other stories were obtained in a less-than-honorable manner.
