Overheard this week at Nexstar stations, as someone digs in his/her pocket or purse for change:
"You lookin' to buy Nexstar stock?"

I got the e-mail trigger yesterday, from a condition I put into place on January 1, 2006.
I made a New Year's promise to my DoD friends that I'd buy a couple of rounds and burn a few on the first available Friday after it closed at less than 3 bucks.
So it looks like I'm drinking this Friday. I might have to Bill Clinton the cigarettes, or just leave them burning in the ashtray, since I quit smoking since then.

This is no reason to celebrate. The poor employees of this company will be the ones who suffer, not management.

I do remember the last time this happening, the stock ran to just over $12!! Sorry, i am thinking of stock money and not the company! Trends work most of the time in stocks. It could be a buying opportunity!

The poor employees of Nexstar have been suffering for years, and like any victims of abuse, I've been warning them to get the hell out for some time now.

Well as a Nexstar employee, I got no gripes. We just spent $250 grand on all new camera/editing gear and I know that the other two stations in this state just got new sets and new graphics systems. Yeah their cheap on labor but things are going ok.
