Not in trouble yet but my silly cousin decided to download the "pay" addition of Limewire because as she said, "that one isn't illegal." I was working morning shift and didn't catch my files being shared for more than 3 days straight! I am wondering first off if they are still taking action against p2p downloaders and then second how long until I would know if my ip address is on the list? I am sure the "cousin did it not us so sue her." argument isn't going to fly once they see she owes 4 digits in credit card bills and my wife and I aren't in credit card debt. I am probably worrying about nothing....

Just move the files out of the directory that's being shared to prevent it in the future.

I have all the p2p ports blocked on my router. That way friends/cousins/kids/whoever can't install any p2p wares without my knowing and get them working.

I usually just go with http://mp3fiesta.com or the occasional ITunes deal.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. As far as I understand it, they primarily target those downloading, not uploading, since it is a lot easier to feign ignorance regarding the uploading than it is the downloading.

However, I would remove any P2P software you have on there just to be safe. I personally don't believe these pay versions are any more legit than the free ones.

I usually just go with http://mp3fiesta.com (http://mp3fiesta.com/) or the occasional ITunes deal.

Are those songs on there DRM free?
