I have recently applied to a Young Broadcasting owned TV station. For those of you that have or are working for Young Broadcasting, how do they match up against some of the other companies out there? What is the work environment like, benefits, pay, etc.? Also, I have noticed that they have had some financial problems lately, how concerned do you think I should be about this? Thanks for your help.

Thanks everybody! This along with some other research I have done has made my decision pretty clear. I will scratch this station off of the list.

If you're keeping score, Young closed at $0.16 Friday. Ouch!

Standard & Poor's lowered its outlook on KRON-TV parent Young Broadcasting Inc. to negative because the company hasn't yet been able to sell the TV station and is running low on cash.

The rating service affirmed its CCC+ credit rating for New York-based Young (NASDAQ: YBTVA). Earlier in the month, the Nasdaq warned Young it could be delisted because it doesn't meet the rule requiring a minimum $15 million market value of its shares.

Young Broadcasting's debt and its vulnerability to a drop in ad sales also contributed to S&P's decision to change its rating on the company, which has unsuccessfully sought a buyer for San Francisco station KRON.
