Fashion is such a big deal in sports, even if some aren't willing to admit it.
So here's where we get to talk about and if able, show pictures of our favorite (or in some cases, least favorite) sports uniforms ever.

Some will say they should fall in the ugly category, but Evansville's sleeved uniforms evoke some great memories. Too bad they've been relegated to "throwback" status.

Some of these choices are clearly more about heart than about true uniform quality.
Nothing against UNC, but there is nothing special at all about those unis.
Even moreso, the Boston Celtics and Penn State uniforms are stunningly dull. It's kind of like Pavlov's dog: fans have enjoyed positive experiences with teams wearing those uniforms, so they associate them with positive memories. But in and of themselves? Dullsville.
And don't give me the "simplicity" argument either. If that's the case every team should wear all-white uni's with black numbers.

It's good, but becomes even better when you compare it to the current abomination of head-to-toe baby-poop green uniforms.

Well at least as far as criticizing my choice goes, you're wrong. :) I thought those uni's were cool. So there.
And feel free to participate with your own ideas of what works for cool uni's and such.

Well, they've only worn them once since Jim Crews left. The third photo in my post above was from a "throwback" game last season. They wear tank tops like everyone else these days.

I'm just tired of teams with dozens of uniforms. An example would be the Tennessee Titans who mix and match between 3 or 4 sets of pants and 3 or 4 jerseys. How about 1 for home games and 1 for away games. It's all a marketing ploy now to get people to buy several jerseys and spend even more money.

Seeing Franco Harris in a Seahawks uni reminded me of a column I saw on ESPN.com about players who played for teams that you normally don't associate them with. It had pictures of most, if not all of the players mentioned in the column. Pretty neat to check out.

C'mon, Kace, those weren't the best Saints unis.
It's a tie between the originals: http://www.cdol.com/saints/joe-retro-td.jpg...
...and the Pat Swilling era. http://www.weirdwolf.net/FFP/images/1990/NewOrleans91.gif
GOLD PANTS, baby.
As for the Pack: never you mind those 1994 throwbacks. I'm torn between the Majkowski-era single-gold-ring socks...
http://www.weirdwolf.net/FFP/images/1980/GreenBay89.gif
...and the matching socks and sleeves of the 1967 back-to-back-to-back world champions.

Still waiting on those Panthers throwbacks, too. :-)

That was all Forrest Gregg's doing. He put the Packer G on the sleeves, too. Just looked weird. And the yellow stripe down the middle of the pants never worked for me, either.
GREAT game pictured there, though. Dickey out-performed Elway in that MNF blizzard...but the Pack still lost. Now that Rodgers will be under center wearing #12, it'll feel like a time warp.
