View Full Version : Is a tape, cover letter and resume enough?

I'm wondering if it's enough to simply send a tape, cover letter and resume to apply for a job.

Do you need to take additional steps beyond that to be considered for the job?

I know visiting the station can help, but sometimes that's not always possible.

Many job postings seem to imply the station doesn't want phone calls or e-mails...so, I'm just wondering what everyone on Medialine thinks...

You might also want to send the following:

1) Cover shots of you doing manly things, like mining salt or hosing down a car.

2) Hair, skin, and blood samples -- save time by putting them all in one container.

3) Pictures of the GM and ND sleeping peacefully, shot from outside their homes at night.

if they like your tape and/or resume, THEY will call YOU.

if they don't like your tape and/or resume, nothing else you do will matter.

sorry.

You forgot your dignity and self-respect. You won't be needing those any more once you're hired.

Ooh, almost forgot: make target symbols in red sharpie over the pictures.

You will be GUARANTEED the job if you can get pictures of them sleeping peacefully *together*.

.

Yes...keep your pom-pon held high, this telegraphs your enthusiasm to the news director that will pick you over the other three fantasy girls he has in mind.
