'ASU-Jonesboro Chancellor Dr. Robert Potts confirmed Richardson's remarks for Region 8 News this afternoon. "We have mutually agreed to focus on other candidates, and he will be focusing on other schools," said Potts.'

While I think Nolan would have been a good short term attraction for ASU I also believe that he would not be a good fit in the long run.

Oh, and no longer the Indians but now the Red Wolves?

I had no idea he was even IN the running...... nor did most of America, I'm guessing.

Didn't even know Arkansas State was hiring. I think they're still called the Indians if I'm not mistaken unless they've changed their name, too.

Name change mandated by NCAA.

Nolan can be a good coach, but also a very complicated person.

His Arkansas teams were sure fun to watch in the 90s. "40 minutes of hell" with players like Scotty Thurman and Carlos Williamson. I think he burned a lot of bridges with how he handled the situation at Arkansas. Otherwise he would have been picked up a long time ago.
