Forgot about the draft and will have to wait until I get home to see what the computer spit out at me. Rank again, I am sure.

'Cause that's the LAST time you'll wanna tell anybody about your fantasy record. As usual, the Rehabs are pitching heavy and hitting light, but we'll pick up the pace early on and MOP YOU SCUBS UP!
There. Preseason trash talk, done.

Who got Pujols? Is he on the waiver wire?
I got Manny and he's in a contract year, or close to it.
No Mistake

We don't need no stinkin' Pujols. Oh wait, I need him, and I have him! The Juice is BACK!

This Merkle line-up may just be the saddest team I have ever seen.
Seriously, do any of my guys even play in the majors anymore?!?
If I finish anywhere higher than last, it'll be a flippin' miracle.
I may as well just quit now and let everyone else play for the title.
Good grief, this is a disaster!!

This Randy Steinman non sequitur brought to you by the Bear Bryant School of Lowering Expectations, where our motto is, "We'll NEVER beat Vandy!"

I did sense a little Lou Holtz in there as well. He just needs to add in there that the competition is going to be very tough to beat, we're not playing cupcakes here.

Forget about the Tampa Rays. They're nothing.
Congratulations are in order to the Cinderella story of the year, a team that acted like the 2006 St. Louis Cardinals in proving that blind stupid luck and a poor series by better opponents sometimes trumps true talent.
The hard charging never say die Dependables came from out of nowhere (6th place) to defeat the team with the best record, Vulcan Nation, for the MediaLine Fantasy Baseball championship.
1) Dependables
2) Vulcan Nation
3) Motor City Madmen
4) Fred Merkle '08ers
5) The Stooges
6) The Terps
How did the Dependables pull this off? Good question.
Vulcan Nation led the league 1st in runs, 2b's, bb's, RBI's and AVG. They were 3rd in 3b, 6th hr, 4th SF 4th SB.
Dependables were 3rd in hr's, but no higher than fifth in any other offensive category, and that was walks. Plus they finished next to last in most strikeouts and next to last in AVG. Dependables finished 7th in runs, 8th in 2b’s, 7th in 3b, 6th RBI 7th SF, 6th SB.
In pitching, Dependables finished 1st in k's, 2nd in WHIP and wins, but had the most losses next to last earned runs, and and dead last in holds.
While Vulcan Nation finished 1st in holds second in fewest losses, but last in wins next to last in k's.
Hack, as per usual, proudly led the league in stikeouts, and most team losses.
Good season all around. Good trash talking. And just like in real life, the team saddled with the soon to be sucking Albert Poo-Holes did not fare well, finishing 7th.

Uhhhhmmm, Hack?!?
The playoffs still have a week to go. (The final match-ups always last two weeks.)
In other words, the Merkle's can still finish third.

Perhaps you should write on this to really have it sink in.

I wouldn't take a pitcher at least until the 5th round...he could be Sandy Koufax, Cy Young, and Nolan Ryan all rolled into one, still wouldn't take them until the 5th.
