I'm talking individual plays - which do you consider the best?
Sunday night's Manning to Burress pass is no doubt at the top of the list.
I'm always partial to Riggins' 4th & 1 run in SB XVII:

And there's always Joe Montana hitting John Taylor for the game winner against the Bengals.

Max McGhee's catch in the first Super Bowl where he was running in one direction, but catching in another without even breakin' a stride.

Or Desmond Howard's kick return for a TD in Super Bowl XXXI for the soon-to-be world champion Green Bay Packers.

I always liked this one:

That second one never happened! The only thing that happened was the Halftime Show (which is all anyone outside of New England remembers anyway). ;)
But in all seriousness, the Panthers were part of one of the Greatest Super Bowls ever. Kinda hard to feel bad about that. Kinda like Pete Rose after that Carlton Fisk homerun in the World Series.

Lynn Swann could certainly go get the ball.

Marcus Allen... how to turn a busted play into a 74 yard TD.

For Montana to Taylor vs. the Bengals!

As much as it pains me as a 'skins fan, I have to agree with Cove's choice of Marcus Allen's SB 18 run. It broke that game wide open (Allen even outran Darrell Green). The '83 Redskins were the best team in the league that year, right up until the Super Bowl. Then they got over-confident and the Raiders rolled them. At the time, it was the most lopsided SB game yet. Another huge play from that game:

That play still makes me mad - it was so obvious.

This is another great one, but is often overlooked.
Remember the goal line stand in the first 49ers - Bengals Super Bowl?

It sealed the first of many SB victories for the niners.

As a 49ers fan, there are 3 symbolic plays-The Catch, Joe to JT, and the goal line stand. Depending upon whom you ask, you'll get a different opinion as to which one was the biggest play marking the dynasty. Some will say The Catch because otherwise the 49ers might have been a flash in the pan. Others will say the Goal Line stand saying how things might have been different had they blown that game after building a 20-0 lead. The Joe to JT game is viewed as the one that showed just how great the team was in the clutch and solidified the 49ers as the team of the 80s. My vote is for Joe to JT.

I'm with you on the Squirek play. That game shocked the hell out of me. The Redskins were crushing teams, and then came the NFC Championship game. I remember the 49ers had squeaked by the Lions and 'Skins absolutely obliterated the Rams. Then the 49ers took the Redskins to the wire, but hey, the 'Skins were supposed to win. I figured they'd win the Super Bowl. Oops. The Raiders won, the last time an AFC team would win until the Broncos beat the Packers in Super Bowl 32.

These don't really count as "best plays" but I still like them.
