Question....
our WX WARN II constantly loses connection with the data source, and then the video card locks up from time to time.
Anyone else having any issues at all with WX WARN from Weather Central? I'm looking for information, trying to determine if this is isolated to our system, or a bug in the software?
They've sent us a new CPU yet we still have this problem.
Any comments?

We have WX Warn II and have no problems with it. I'm very surprised a new cpu didn't fix the problem...

We have had a few problems with ours from time to time, but nothing that would constitute a new cpu. I do try to restart it once a week just to make sure that it is still working. A new version is coming out now, so hopefully that will fix a lot of things.

it sounds like a software problem. Do you have antivirus software installed? Also, do you use it for anything else other than wxwarn..like for random internet use...if its not software it could be the GPU in the video card OR a more remote possibility is the power supply..yes everyone reading this is like huh? If the PSU starts to faulter than both the CPU and GPU have less voltage to work with and as a result drop processes...lock up...and do other weird things...check it out im very interested in what the problem is

I'd contact the service department or post this issue on the on-demand site.

We're on the phone to them two to three times a week. Even the WxCentral techs can't figure it out thru WebEx.
We don't use that box for ANYTHING but crawls..... wx wire feed comes from Dyncorp... there is NO external software on the system, and yet it's still unreliable.

I thik I would just tell them either we go to a diifferent machine and we get our $$$ back...or you send us a whole new system. I had a Metline that kept acting up and would give us the "blue screen of death" quite often and sometimes wouldn't reboot correctly (therefore needing to run the recovery process). They would send us a loaner...then claim to fix ours. It would still do the same thing. Finally... I complained enough and said we want need and demand a new Metline. We got the loaner permanently until we upgraded to :LIVE. Don't let them tell you they can't do it. It may not be brand new but they will find a way to make you a happy customer. The loaner worked with little or no problem.
