Anyone who has attended the AMS Short Course at the broadcaster's convention in the past, please let me know if it was useful and if it is a 'must do' for you as an attendee. Thanks.

It has helped - as long as it serves a purpose in my daily forecasting regiment or medium to longterm planning goals.

I don't know if I would call them "Must Do", because it depends in large measure on where you are working (a tropical workshop is probably more useful to someone in Miami than Spokane), but I have attended several and I have always found them useful... even if they didn't pertain directly to my region.

Besides, they can build up those continuing education creds very quickly.
