Anyone here from the DC area. I heard one of the local stations report that "employees and volunteers" were clearing snow from the seating areas of FedEx field for tonight's Redskin's game.

VOLUNTEERS???? WTF... Did Dan Snyder go broke without telling anyone? Why the hell can't he PAY people to remove the snow? That's just pure un-American socialism.

Do other NFL owners do this? I mean, I hope the volunteers at least get themselves a ticket to the game.

Enlighten me please!

Tripe,

This is the same owner who tried to charge people to watch training camp practice.

So why should you be surprised?

I am sorry to hear that. No one deserves such a fate. Well, no one but Rugen.

Somebody from Wisconsin can correct me on this, but I thought I heard a story once about voluteers shoveling out Lambeau... It goes WAY back to the days when Curly Lambeau coached the team and fans in the area would volunteer to shovel out the stadium so the game wouldn't be delayed or cancelled. As best I remember from my days in Madison, the volunteering to shovel is something people love to do there.. Maybe I heard the story wrong, I don't know.

Yeah, but they get paid $8 an hour. They needed 300 earlier this week...they got 800.

The Packers provide the shovels...it gets dumped onto big slides going down the aisles to the field, where it gets trucked away.

Pretty good visual.
