Pelini Named Nebraska Coach

The LSU defensive coordinator was just announced as the new head coach at Nebraska.

I caught the crawl on TV while out shopping that mentioned a press conference later in the afternoon and then caught the press conference itself on the car radio part-way through.

I was very impressed by his Q&A session with the media that Pelini had. He answered what he could answer and didn't B.S. what he couldn't at this point.

I'm very much looking forward to next season now that everything with the Pederson (former AD) and Callahan (former coach) era now completely in the past.

The best part about the press conference? How Pelini took the time to give Frank Solich credit for the work he did while at Nebraska. Not something that has happened much in the last few years. I liked Solich and I'm definitely support the hiring of Pelini.

Bottom line - Pelini gets it.
