Just wondering how everyone likes the new forum. Likes? Dislikes? I'm still kinda fumbling through it, but I'm slowly getting used to the new look/features.

The new forum does not like Firefox in terms of cookies. Constantly re-logging in.
Sent private messages show up as immediately read.

I haven't had a problem with Firefox here at home. Been logged in since the change was made. Weird.
Are you running Firefox on a Mac? I've noticed that I've been logged out on my Ibook.

Hi Badger, glad you're getting the hang of things. Here's a thread where I've been adding some tips, in case you haven't seen it already: http://openline.medialine.com/showthread.php?t=18456

I had this same issue with my firefox at home, versus firefox at work. It was very strange... I did make a cookies tweak on the server several weeks ago, and ever since then, I've stayed logged in on both computers.
Can you try to delete your cookies, kmfdmatt, and then try to login again, making sure to check the "remember me" box. NOTE: if you prefer not to lose ALL your cookies for other sites, look for any cookies for "openline.medialine.com" and just remove those instead.

On my laptop, I'm running Vista (browsing with Firefox) and have had no issues with staying logged in. However, yesterday, I was running Firefox on an XP computer and kept getting logged out. I'm wondering if there may be something with the OS? You'd think it would be Vista having the fits, though.
At any rate, I've been happy with the new forums so far.

At first when we switched over, i had the same staying logged in issues, but eventually (probably when Todd changed the settings), I logged in once and it stayed. I'm running xp.

Yep...same for me at first, but the login issues have been resolved for me (both on xp and vista).
Oh and thanks for the link Todd.

I think it is fantastic, yeah the loggin out thing went away for me as well. I run firefox at home and no issues there. Love the avatar option the best, and ease of use.

I really miss being able to change monikers. But other than that, I like the new forum very much (especially the subscribed threads section in the UserCP.)
Sincerely,

Like the new adjustment to the thread list Todd or whoever did it.
I went into a thread before it changed, when I posted and came back out to the list, it was the new look. Makes it a lot easier to glance through the list without so much space between titles.

WxChick - I changed it back earlier tonight because I need to figure out a way to get the name of the last poster in there, without adding a second line. Plus the thread rating star thingy.
Don't worry though; I'll keep working on it and have something in place soon that makes better use of space. It's tricky to customize those templates!

OK I came up with something usable, I think. If anyone would care to tell me their opinion?
The goal was to make things resemble the old Open Line forums more, where we could see quite a few more threads at once.

This should work well for nearly all posts, except maybe for those users with really long login names.
You can change back to your regular style using the drop down menu at the very bottom left of all pages.

That Looks Great Todd.
Have You Found A Way To Move The "jump To" Button/menu Higher On The Page?

Not yet, Fedora, but that is something I can work on this week.
You mean a link like we used to have at the top of the old forum that jumped directly to the open line, or j-forum, etc?
