View Full Version : We do it to ourselves...

A similiar topic is in Open Line... but I felt this should be in the J Forum as well.

When we, the journalists and talking heads on the radio, newspaper and in TV, complain about talk radio and conservative bloggers and viewers turning to them for news, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

How many plants were there at the Republican CNN/You Tube debate last night (11/28/07)? How many questions came from people who call themselves Democrats or have already pledged to vote for a specific Democratic candidate? Geez, you had one guy who actually is tied in with a Democratic presidential candidate!

What a joke!

The debate wasn't even over and the cat was being let out of the bag.

Viewers: DUPED.

The press gets the label of being 'liberal' and biased towards Republicans anyways... and it's for damn good reason.

wx or not

Agreed. However, considering the venue and CNN, how could we approach it differently and still get "Joe Sixpack" to watch?

Wouldn't a liberal media be biased AGAINST Republicans?

This isn't really necessary anymore. You don't need to post the question on two separate boards.

The savvy user has discovered that hitting the "Today's Posts" or "New Posts" icon on the tool bar will allow the reader to see the updated topics from all the forums.

Check it out.

Who cares who is asking the question? Really? They weren't softballs thrown to a friendly candidate were they? They were difficult questions that will be asked and answered in due time by someone. So why not now?

This whole thing is making a mountain out of a molehill.

And I loved how Huckabee answered the "What would Jesus do?" question. Very deft.

Well please inform the moderators to combine the forums, okay?

I was under the impression that 'Joe Viewer' was recording himself and uploading it on You Tube for the candidates to answer. That was part of the interest in the debate... that you, Mr. or Ms. Nameless Citizen, could get a presidential candidate to answer your question live on tv. But that clearly wasn't the case.

A few of those 'Joe Viewers' were people who weren't undecided. They were Democrats already backing Hillary, Obama or Edwards. They were asking loaded questions that had 'damned if you and damned if you don't' answers.

Did you not read my post? One more time .......sloooooooowly.

Click on the "New Posts" or "Recent Posts" icon on the tool bar.
It lists all the threads in order that they were posted, the latest on top, from ALL the forums.
Look on the right side of the page. That column tell you what forum the thread came from.

Another trick is click on the "Quick Links" icon on the same toolbar. In that box go all the way to the bottom and click on "Who's Online". That will tell you what posters are reading what threads. Kinda cool, huh?

We now return you to your the previously scheduled tantrum by McFry...

Are you happy now crybaby?

I probably added more valuable information for the readers than your republican rant was. And I may have tought you,
"Mr. know-it-all", something too - although you would never fess up that that possibility.

Yes, you are right. I would never fess up to what you 'tought' me.

He didn't want to know that, because that takes away his excuse for posting on more than one forum to get as much attention as possible.

And McFry is sooooo sharing. He doesn't limit himself to just one board.

You should check out the McFry thread about shooting on 2x over on B-Roll. Now, that's a whole lotta talk about nothing.

Are there "softball" questions in the debates, planted by the candidates in the debates? Why aren't you railing against them?
