How can I get a salary estimate without signing up and paying $20 on TVJobs?

You might try asking here. About a third of the people here (not including me) know what they are talking about. Also, I just noticed you are apparently a weather babe. The wire has a WX section too.

There will be a wide range depending on the station. Figure $50k minimum with some of the older ones pushing $100K. Average probably $65k

That's not much there either. Plus with half that metro area convinced that they are still in some high school like competition for most expensive stuff, it's just a sickening place to be.
