The Dolphins vs. Steelers game is under an "inclement weather" delay. Anyone else watching? I'm going to use it as weather video tonight! Plus, Ricky Williams is STARTING!!! Fire it up!

The Dolphins punt in their first series was amazing. The ball hit the ground and made a big ol' splat and stopped without a bounce.

Have any of you noticed the Monday night football's matchups suck the past two years?

Thats because it is not the marquee match up anymore, NBC's Sunday Night Football now gets the bigger matchup. I think that was part of the deal for putting MNF on ESPN.

Heard this morning on Sportscenter that they had just re-sodded the field 48 hours prior to the game. AND, they put the new sod over the old field :withstupid:
How stupid is that? I love the shot of the punt just landing on the field with a thud and then just sits there.

Welll....
Maybe it gave him a chance to "relax" before coming back out. :shifty:
Hell it was only a size 98 foot that stepped on him.

By the way go STILLERS! Would have sucked mucho arse to lose to another crap team.

When is the last time there was a weather delay for a Monday Night Football game?

Go Steelers! It wasn't a pretty win, but it is a win!

The only team in NFL history to lose TWO games 3-0! Ugh. Way to go Miami..

Cant wait to watch Miami take on the J-E-T-S SUCK SUCK SUCK! next Sunday with that powerhouse Patrick Cobbs as their starting RB!

The grounds crews at that stadium should be fired. The field conditions were an embarassment to the NFL last night.

My son (who is a Patriots fan by the way) asked me why I still liked the Dolphins.......I'm beginning to wonder myself...

Not one that comes to mind. But the league has been getting more proactive to weather the last couple of years. If lightning is in the area, they'll suspend play.

As far as firing the grounds crew, I don't know if I would go that far. 7 games were played on that field in a span of 48 hours, so some attempt had to be made to at least make it playable, the problem was the tarp.

Besides - that's the way football should be! In the elements, none of this silly dome stuff. Plus it's much harder to pipe in crowd noise in an open air stadium. :D

On an unrelated note, it's a shame that Sean Taylor passed this morning.
I am interested to find out more details about what appears to be an intentional targeting in the coming days.

I would rather play on a wet field like that then play on astroturf. I still have scars on my body from astroturf fields from the 90s...besides, the field conditions actually made for some fun football watching...like playing slip 'n slide
