... is, if KU beats Missouri tonight, who will it play for the National Championship?

The KU-Missou winner still has to win the Big 12 Championship Game.

Otherwise it will drop behind Ohio State and West Virginia (presuming the Mountaineers can beat UConn) in the rankings.

... but that's just a formality.

Ohio State vs. Georgia

Hear me out. Missouri beats KU today. OU beats Mizzou in Big XII Championship Game. West Virginia loses to UConn or Pitt. Georgia beats Georgia Tech. Kentucky beats Tennessee, sending Georgia to the SEC Title Game, where the Bulldogs then beat LSU, giving them another lift in the polls. Ohio St. just keeps rising because others ahead of them continue to fall.

It's an unlikely chain of events, but it's been a wierd season. Here are the BCS standings heading after all conference title games are done:

1. Ohio State
2. Georgia
3. Kansas
4. Virginia Tech

Somehow, Ohio State is going to back into a BCS Championship game. Just one of 183,461,253 examples of what's wrong with 1-A (err...FBS) football.

I believe my question has lost its relevance. Damn.

I would LOVE to see Georgia in the National Championship, but would NOT like to see Ohio State... over-rated.

Even if they didn't go to the SEC Champ. Game, they're still okay. Say they would've gone and lost; they're in a better position right now. But, if they did go and beat LSU, they would've been a no-doubter.

Please... The bulldogs couldn't even win their DIVISION, much less their CONFERENCE. They don't deserve a spot in the BCS Championship game.

If anything, LSU... who lost only two games, both in overtime should play if WVU and MIZZOU lose.

What no one is talking about is Hawai'i crashing the BCS party. They're currently 12th, which means they get a bid. They beat Washington and they'll grab a bid for sure.

Georgia and LSU both have 2 losses.
they both beat 4 ranked teams.
they have the exact same record.

sorry, not seeing the difference.

Doesn't matter. No two loss team will leapfrog Ohio State.

West Virginia gets in with a win over Pitt.

Then it's up to Missouri. An upset over Oklahoma puts the Tigers into the title game.

Otherwise, say hi to the Buckeyes.

Yeah, that just tells you how crazy this season has been. If UGA played TN right now, they're be no question the bulldogs would win.
