Just happened to catch the 6 p.m. KMBC 9 News in K.C. this week.
In the closing, the anchor team promoted the stations website, and the director squeezed the team into the site's front page. It was a neat and effective move.
Any other stations doing anything similar?

But, no idea is new.

Been done for a LONG time by MANY local stations. Somebody did it 1st, and then their consultant told 2 friends, and they told 2 friends and they told 2 friends, etc, etc, etc. It has now been Xeroxed over and over across the country. Yes, like the Chevy John Mellencamp commercials, it was very effective, the 1st 5 million times I saw it. Now, it's tiresome and so.....2005.

They end almost every newscast that way.

Yep, two stations in our market. It's a good idea, but certainly not "new" by TV standards.

The concept made it to Savannah. Raycom's WTOC started using the squeezeback a little more than a year ago.
